Journal Tribune covers MLK Jr. Celebration lecture by Tricia Rose
The (Biddeford) ran a Jan. 26, 2012 story on a Â鶹´«Ã½lecture by Tricia Rose, Ph.D., a professor of Africana studies at Brown University in Providence, R.I., who spoke about "The Courage to Love: Taking a Stand for Justice in the 21st Century" on Jan. 25th. The lecture was part of UNE's 25th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration series.
Rose, the story explains, said that despite the civil rights movement, more work must be done to bring equal access to resources like housing, education and employment.
