The most recent book by Josh Pahigian, M.F.A., adjunct faculty in the Department of English and fellow of the Center for Global Humanities, was recently featured on both treasurecoast.com and verovine.com. The publications highlighted the fact that Dodgertown—Vero Beach, Florida—is ranked as Number 35 in Pahigian’s “101 Places to See Before You Strike Out.”

“The centerpiece of Dodgertown was, and still is, Holman Stadium – one of the most delightful little ballparks pro ball has ever known, simply because there is so little about it that resembles a professional park,” Pahigian explains. “What you will notice is that the complex sees nearly year-round use now as starry-eyed youths, collegians, and adults play and practice on the very fields once graced by giants of the game like Pee Wee Reese, Robinson, Drysdale, Sandy Koufax, and Fernando Valenzuela.”

The articles quote the reaction of Craig Callan, Historic Dodgertown vice president, to the inclusion of Dodgertown in Pahigian’s must-see list. “We are honored and thrilled to be included in the just published ‘101 Baseball Places to See Before You Strike Out,’” he stated.
