Josh Pahigianās newest book featured by two Florida publications
The most recent book by Josh Pahigian, M.F.A., adjunct faculty in the Department of English and fellow of the Center for Global Humanities, was recently featured on both treasurecoast.com and verovine.com. The publications highlighted the fact that DodgertownāVero Beach, Floridaāis ranked as Number 35 in Pahigianās ā101 Places to See Before You Strike Out.ā
āThe centerpiece of Dodgertown was, and still is, Holman Stadium ā one of the most delightful little ballparks pro ball has ever known, simply because there is so little about it that resembles a professional park,ā Pahigian explains. āWhat you will notice is that the complex sees nearly year-round use now as starry-eyed youths, collegians, and adults play and practice on the very fields once graced by giants of the game like Pee Wee Reese, Robinson, Drysdale, Sandy Koufax, and Fernando Valenzuela.ā
The articles quote the reaction of Craig Callan, Historic Dodgertown vice president, to the inclusion of Dodgertown in Pahigianās must-see list. āWe are honored and thrilled to be included in the just published ā101 Baseball Places to See Before You Strike Out,āā he stated.
