Appointed senior vice president of Finance and Administration in July 2023, Jim Irwin, CPA, joined the Â鶹´«Ã½ with nearly three decades of professional experience in both corporate and higher education settings. He works closely with an exceptional team of leaders on the oversight of several areas, including information technology, budgeting, capital planning, accounting, treasury management, safety and security, student financial services, risk management, institutional research, facilities management, and auxiliary services.

He previously worked for Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania, serving as chief financial officer and vice president for business and finance, where he oversaw all aspects of the college’s financial operations. In this role, he spearheaded projects on tuition pricing, financial transparency and education, resource reallocation, salary benchmarking, operational efficiencies, and several major information technology and facilities projects.

Earlier in his career, Irwin held positions at Claremont Graduate University, the University of La Verne, LA Fitness International, and KPMG. In addition to being a licensed CPA, he holds a Master of Science in Leadership and Management from the University of La Verne and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of California, Riverside.
